At the very heart of all that our church is about is the person of Jesus. But who is he, and why does he matter?
Jesus lived on earth around 2,000 years ago, but he’s had a huge influence on the lives of millions of people ever since. He made incredible claims about himself – that he’s the ultimate source of truth, that he’s the expression of God’s amazing love for the world, that he’s the judge of the living and the dead, and that his death is the key to our life.
He made those extraordinary claims credible by rising again from the dead, so he’s not just someone we can know in history, but someone we can know personally, now. And when we have such a personal relationship, it changes everything we do and everything we care about.
